Congratulations go out to Chaleise Everly!  She had a very successful 2007 competition season and is the Indiana Eventing Association's (IEA)  2007 Grand Champion Junior Novice Rider on her horse Noble Lad.  She was also awarded IEA's 2007 Reserve Champion Junior Beginner Novice rider on Geof's Dudley, who she co-owns with Sharon Arrington (see "horses for sale").  Chaleise and Noble Lad are also the United States Eventing Association Area VIII's 2007 Reserve Champion Junior Novice Rider--which includes the riders in Kentucky, Indiana, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, and Western Pennsylvania.  We wish the best of luck to Chaleise and Noble on their 2008 season!  Chaleise rides, trains, and instructs at Centerline Stables.aecxc.jpg

Members of the Big Walnut Creek Pony Club, a chapter of the United States Pony Club, participated in the Heartland Region’s Quiz Rally on Saturday, May 10th in Indianapolis. The Quiz Rally is a team competition on horse knowledge. Questions included knowledge about horse health, anatomy, horse management, breeds, markings, competition rules, dressage, polocrosse, mounted games, and show jumping. There are approximately 13,250 members of the United States Pony Clubs, Inc (USPC) throughout the country. Along with an emphasis on helping its members to learn to ride and care for horses, Pony Club promotesuspcwin07.gif teamwork, a sense of responsibility, safety, good moral judgment and self-confidence. Activities are English-riding based, and members ride both horses and ponies, depending on the size of the rider and the discipline in which s/he is competing. Pony Club competition is team competition, much like the Olympic games, where members learn the importance of cooperation and teamwork. Members range in ages from as young as 4 through age 25.
